Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting cycles including month-end close processes and reconciliation activities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements with strict adherence to GAAP standards
- Lead tax compliance initiatives for multi-state operations (VA/TX focus)
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models with 95%+ accuracy rates
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows with zero-tolerance for discrepancies
- Conduct internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and strategic financial planning
- Maintain compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-state tax compliance
