Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with evolving IRS regulations
- Analyze financial statements to identify tax-saving opportunities
- Manage client relationships and provide proactive tax planning consultations
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte) for efficient document processing
- Collaborate with senior advisors on complex tax strategies and audits
- Maintain meticulous documentation and adherence to firm quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation or compliance experience
- Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep understanding of Alaska state tax codes and federal regulations
