Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll process for over 200+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and file monthly payroll tax returns and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding pay.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to update employee information and address changes.
- Process garnishments and other legal deductions when applicable.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in payroll administration or a related financial role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and Texas state labor laws.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors before processing.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
