Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll cycles for 500+ employees with 100% accuracy
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and benefits enrollments through ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (FLSA, FICA, NC wage laws)
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies within SLAs
- Prepare quarterly tax filings and year-end W-2/1099 documentation
- Lead system implementations for new payroll modules
- Train staff on payroll processes and policy updates
- Collaborate with HRIS to maintain employee data integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Expert proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or comparable HCM systems
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification required
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Proven compliance knowledge for NC/Federal labor regulations
- Experience with 401(k) and HSA administration
- Strong analytical skills for audit preparation and troubleshooting
