Responsibilities
- Develop personalized financial plans including investment strategies, retirement planning, tax optimization, and estate management for high-net-worth clients
- Build and maintain a robust client portfolio through strategic networking, referrals, and community engagement in DC metro area
- Analyze market trends and financial data to provide actionable investment recommendations aligned with client risk tolerance
- Ensure compliance with SEC/FINRA regulations and maintain thorough documentation of all client interactions
- Collaborate with internal teams including tax specialists, attorneys, and portfolio managers to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Utilize CRM systems to track client relationships, pipeline activity, and performance metrics
- Participate in quarterly business reviews to assess portfolio performance and adjust strategies as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or CFP designation preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or client advisory roles
- FINRA Series 7, 66, and state securities licenses (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Proven track record of building client relationships and meeting sales targets
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., MoneyGuidePro, eMoney)
- Ability to thrive in a commission-based environment with demonstrated entrepreneurial drive
- Knowledge of DC metro market and high-net-worth client demographics preferred
