Responsibilities
- Process daily transactions efficiently, including cashing checks, processing deposits, and handling withdrawals with high accuracy.
- Greet customers warmly and provide superior customer service by answering account inquiries and explaining banking products.
- Verify customer identity and validate documents to ensure strict compliance with banking regulations and security protocols.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products such as savings accounts, CDs, and loans to meet branch goals.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure teller line area at all times.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions at the end of the shift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; prior banking or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations with high precision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse customers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment (computers, ATMs, etc.).
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with banking software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Reliable transportation is required.
