Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth credit analysis and risk assessment on loan applications to determine creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and underwriting guidelines to minimize default risk.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging trends in credit risk.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and present findings to the credit committee.
- Collaborate with sales and underwriting teams to provide expert financial guidance.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal and state banking regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial banking.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and SQL.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and ratios.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
