Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive 2026+ strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Partner with R&D teams to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Design and lead cross-functional innovation sprints focused on future-proofing business models
- Author executive-level trend reports and strategic briefs on societal, technological, and economic shifts
- Establish and manage an external futurist network including academic institutions and industry thought leaders
- Integrate foresight outputs into quarterly business planning cycles and KPI frameworks
- Develop adaptive governance structures for navigating uncertainty and rapid change
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field
- Minimum 7 years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology foresight
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, climate solutions)
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills for communicating complex future scenarios
- Experience with strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful implementation of future-oriented strategies
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFCS, CFP) preferred
