Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data (AI, biotech, climate tech, quantum computing) to identify 2026 market opportunities
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for 5-year product and service roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional '2026 Innovation Sprints' with engineering, design, and marketing teams
- Produce executive-level trend reports with actionable recommendations for board presentations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks for future-focused research
- Mentor junior futurists while building a proprietary foresight methodology
- Integrate ESG and ethical considerations into long-term strategic planning
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field; PhD preferred
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futures research
- Proven track record of implementing 5+ year strategic initiatives in tech/consulting
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, quantum computing)
- Certification in Foresight methodologies (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presence for stakeholder engagement
