Responsibilities
- Calculate and process payroll for all employees accurately and on a bi-weekly basis.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including FLSA and tax regulations.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, tax filings, and year-end documentation (W-2s, 1099s).
- Process employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and direct deposits.
- Manage garnishments, benefits deductions, and other voluntary deductions accurately.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee records and maintain payroll data integrity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in payroll processing or a related finance role.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, FLSA, and state labor laws.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or Ceridian Workforce Now).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to troubleshoot complex spreadsheets.
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
