Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reporting.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in compliance with state regulations.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor's preferred).
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
