Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and financial statements.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, verify journal entries, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll data and assist with payroll tax filings as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records and transactions comply with federal and state regulations.
- Software Maintenance: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to track and manage financial data.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience is accepted.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
