Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile credit card statements to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, trial balances, and general ledger maintenance using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Payroll Processing: Handle payroll processing for multiple employees, ensuring tax filings and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and tax forms.
- Client Support: Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, financial reports, and account status updates.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; High school diploma with equivalent experience is accepted.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax preparation principles.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and maintain data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
