In this role, you will be the backbone of our accounting operations, ensuring our clients' financial data is meticulously recorded and reported.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure accurate and timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Bookkeeping Systems: Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks and Xero with precision.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for select clients or internal staff, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance & Auditing: Prepare supporting documentation for tax audits and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Xero. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidential financial information.
