Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation filings (1099s, W-2s).
- Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries and account status.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a professional Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid California driverβs license and access to a vehicle for occasional client visits.
