Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet).
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation filings.
- Monitor expenses and assist in budget planning for clients.
- Ensure all financial documentation is organized and compliant with GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Excel is required; Xero experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
