Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices and payments are accurate and recorded on time.
- Perform Bank Reconciliations: Review monthly bank statements and credit card statements to reconcile discrepancies and maintain cash flow records.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Maintain General Ledger: Update and maintain the general ledger system, ensuring all journal entries are posted correctly.
- Support Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the HR team to ensure payroll data is accurate and tax filings are up to date.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain organized financial records and assist with internal or external audits as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage 50, or Xero. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and discrepancies in financial data with high precision.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
