As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring our clients' financial health. You will work with cutting-edge accounting software and enjoy a supportive culture that values professional growth and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Bookkeeping Systems: Maintain and update client ledgers using QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Expense Management: Review and approve expense reports, categorize expenses, and assist in budget preparation.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial data is organized and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm or corporate environment.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Xero. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and errors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
