Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, month-end close procedures, and financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage financial data and generate necessary reports for management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks or Xero.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
