Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle daily accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and timely.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure balances match financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for internal review.
- Software Management: Utilize Xero or QuickBooks to maintain general ledger entries and assist with month-end close procedures.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding their financial statements and account status.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Xero or QuickBooks Online is required; Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical standards when handling sensitive financial data.
