Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).
- Assist with monthly payroll processing and year-end tax preparation (1099s, W-2s).
- Process invoices, track expenses, and ensure proper coding in accounting software.
- Perform month-end close procedures in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial inquiries and document requests.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Gusto, or similar).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with GAAP and basic tax compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
