Job Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This is a pivotal role that supports the executive leadership team in making data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Assist with annual audits and tax filings in coordination with external auditors.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Monitor budgets and assist in variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Deep understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
