As our new Accounting Clerk, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing of all financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and assist with monthly financial reporting.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process payroll data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage and update fixed asset schedules and inventory records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Previous experience as an Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper, or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external vendors.
