Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and business clients
- Conduct thorough client interviews to gather financial information and documentation
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte) for accurate return processing
- Research tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify optimization opportunities
- Communicate with clients professionally regarding return status and tax implications
- Collaborate with senior associates to resolve complex tax scenarios
- Maintain organized client files and documentation per IRS standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred but not required)
- No prior tax experience necessary – we provide full training!
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
