Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and industry benchmarks to forecast revenue, expenses, and ROI for 50+ portfolio companies
- Build and maintain complex financial models using Excel and SQL to support fundraising rounds, M&A activities, and strategic pivots
- Prepare executive-level presentations and reports highlighting key performance indicators, risk exposures, and growth opportunities
- Conduct due diligence on potential investments, including valuation analysis, market sizing, and competitive landscape mapping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize capital allocation and operational efficiency across portfolio companies
- Monitor portfolio performance against KPIs, providing monthly/quarterly variance analysis and strategic recommendations
- Stay current on SEC regulations, GAAP standards, and emerging fintech innovations affecting investment strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
- 3+ years of financial analysis experience in venture capital, private equity, or high-growth tech environments
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query) and SQL; experience with Tableau or Power BI a plus
- Demonstrated ability to build complex valuation models (DCF, comps, precedent transactions)
- Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Deep understanding of San Jose/Silicon Valley market dynamics and emerging tech sectors
