Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for client portfolios
- Maintain accurate digital records using QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Coordinate with tax professionals for quarterly filings and year-end documentation
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and industry standards
- Support month-end closing processes and audit preparations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining 100% accuracy
- Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations in New Mexico
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) highly desirable
- Experience with construction or retail accounting a plus
