Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Oversee payroll processing with weekly disbursement coordination
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and California state tax regulations
- Lead month-end closing procedures with reconciliations and journal entries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and expense controls
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- CPA or active pursuit strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel with VBA knowledge
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume environments
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
