Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely using ADP or SAP systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including FLSA and tax regulations.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and timekeeping.
- Prepare and file necessary payroll tax reports and quarterly/annual reconciliations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and 401(k) deductions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records for audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to update personnel data and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, SAP, or Workday) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of Texas and US payroll tax laws and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with absolute confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex payroll concepts to non-finance staff.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
