Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle bi-weekly payroll processing for a workforce of over 200 employees across multiple states.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in gross-to-net calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Administer garnishments, levies, and other legal deductions in strict compliance with federal and Florida state laws.
- Utilize provided payroll software to run reports, reconcile bank statements, and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee records, organize tax documents (W-2s/1099s), and manage time-off requests.
- Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related inquiries from staff and management.
- Assist in the annual audit process and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a logistics, transportation, or high-volume staffing environment.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or similar HCM/payroll platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, ACA requirements, and Florida specific payroll tax laws.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, INDEX/MATCH) required.
- High attention to detail with the ability to detect errors before final submission.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
