Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and filing of individual and small business tax returns.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer routine inquiries.
- Support senior tax staff with tax research and staying updated on regulatory changes.
- Ensure all tax documentation adheres to federal, state, and local compliance standards.
- Assist in the reconciliation of tax accounts and preparation of year-end workpapers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client meetings.
