Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of individual and small business tax returns.
- Perform data entry and maintenance of client tax files and records.
- Communicate with clients via phone and email to gather necessary documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Support senior staff during tax season and year-end audits.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with all internal financial policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for client visits).
- Willingness to obtain necessary tax preparation certifications (we provide training).
