Responsibilities
- Prepare individual and small business tax returns under supervision
- Assist with tax compliance documentation and filing processes
- Conduct basic research on tax codes and regulations
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information
- Utilize tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries) for document processing
- Participate in ongoing training programs to develop technical skills
- Support senior associates with tax planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to obtain CPA certification within 2 years
- Proactive problem-solving approach and eagerness to learn
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (client travel may be required)
