Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Bank Reconciliation: regularly review and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheets for management review.
- Payroll Support: help process payroll data and ensure all tax filings are current and compliant.
- Record Keeping: organize and file financial documents, invoices, and receipts in a systematic digital and physical filing system.
- Expense Management: track company expenses and assist in budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional bookkeeping experience required; internship or academic projects are a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy in data entry and number crunching.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
