Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily maintenance of the general ledger and financial records.
- Process and post invoices for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and organize financial documentation for audits and tax season.
- Support the payroll process by gathering necessary time and attendance data.
- Generate basic financial reports for management review.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- No prior professional bookkeeping experience required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (self-taught or academic background is acceptable).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
