Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Process and categorize daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare basic financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes under supervision.
- Organize and file physical and digital financial documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- No prior bookkeeping experience required; we teach you what you need to know.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (vlookup, pivot tables are a plus).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred but not required.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace if working remotely.
