Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry of daily financial transactions into accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks, including processing invoices and payments.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records and filing systems.
- Prepare basic financial reports and balance sheets for management review.
- Support the senior accounting team with month-end close procedures and administrative tasks.
- Answer client inquiries regarding invoices and account status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to learn new accounting software and industry-specific terminology quickly.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
