Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks: Process accounts payable and receivable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Data Entry: Maintain and update financial records in our accounting software (QuickBooks and Xero preferred).
- Expense Reporting: Collect, organize, and process employee expense reports.
- General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger and preparing basic financial reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial data complies with internal policies and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required. We will train the right candidate.
- Skills: Basic math proficiency and strong attention to detail.
- Software: Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Character: Professional demeanor and a proactive work ethic.
