Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial statements are correct.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and filing systems for multiple clients.
- Assist with Tax Prep: Support senior accountants in the preparation of tax documents and financial reports during tax season.
- Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and verify for errors.
- Reporting: Generate basic financial reports and assist in month-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; however, internship experience or coursework in accounting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data.
- Software: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) is required; familiarity with accounting software is a bonus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
