Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting and analysis.
- Process payroll data and maintain employee time records.
- Organize and file financial documents and invoices efficiently.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to enter and categorize transactions.
- Support the finance team during the month-end close process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain professional certifications (e.g., NACPB, CMA) post-hire.
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
