Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices and bills are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Data Entry & Organization: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in our accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and spreadsheets.
- Assist with Payroll: Support the payroll department by gathering time sheets and calculating employee hours (entry-level support).
- Generate Reports: Prepare basic financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients via email or phone to clarify billing inquiries or provide basic account status updates.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required. We are looking for candidates willing to learn.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for basic arithmetic and high attention to detail is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
- Integrity: A strong sense of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial data.
