We are seeking a dedicated Entry Level Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If you have a knack for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to build a long-term career in accounting, we want to meet you.
At Apex Financial Solutions, we provide a comprehensive training program to help you master essential financial software and processes. You will work closely with senior accountants to ensure our clients' financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
What You Will Do:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Maintain accurate records in the general ledger and accounting software.
- Process payroll and ensure time-off requests are recorded correctly.
- Organize and file financial documents and invoices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., debits and credits) is helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or Xero is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to catch errors.
- Reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace.
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the finance industry.
Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records in the general ledger and accounting software.
- Process payroll and ensure time-off requests are recorded correctly.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Support the audit process by providing requested documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Willingness to obtain relevant software certifications (training provided).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work independently.
- No prior experience required; we train the right candidates.
