Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain the general ledger and assist in month-end close procedures.
- Reconcile credit card statements and vendor invoices.
- Prepare and organize financial reports for management review.
- Support the payroll process by gathering necessary data and ensuring accuracy.
- File and organize financial documents and records in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Willingness to obtain QuickBooks or Sage certification within the first year (training provided).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in an office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
