Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accurate data entry and account reconciliation.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journals, and financial reports.
- Assist with the month-end close process and inventory counting.
- Organize and file financial documents, receipts, and invoices for easy access.
- Support the finance department with payroll preparation and audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and excellent math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter with a willingness to learn new systems.
