Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements for management review.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by recording daily financial data and ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve billing inquiries and process invoices correctly.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (such as QuickBooks or Xero) and Microsoft Excel to organize and track financial information.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior professional bookkeeping experience required; we value potential and teachability.
- Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Availability: Must be able to work full-time hours with occasional flexibility for month-end close periods.
