As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining our financial integrity. You will handle daily financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support our senior accountants in preparing essential financial reports. Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Update and maintain the general ledger system with accuracy.
- Prepare and process payroll for all employees in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Assist with tax preparation and quarterly compliance filings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- No prior professional bookkeeping experience required; we value potential over experience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) is helpful but not mandatory.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
