Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, ensuring all entries are properly documented.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor statements, and issue payments while maintaining accurate records of accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Compare bank statements to internal records to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Data Entry & Organization: Perform high-volume data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Month-End Close: Assist the accounting team in preparing trial balances and financial reports for monthly closing.
- Support Payroll: Assist with gathering necessary data for payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for mathematics and basic accounting principles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel. Experience with QuickBooks or Xero is a plus but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Must be highly detail-oriented with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
