Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for the company and employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Prepare and organize tax documents for the annual audit.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain professional relationships.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Previous experience in an entry-level accounting role is preferred but not required (we provide on-the-job training).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Basic knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) is a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
