Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
- Maintain and update the company's general ledger system.
- Process payroll entries and assist with the preparation of tax documents (1099s, W-2s).
- Organize and file physical and digital financial records for easy retrieval.
- Assist senior accountants with audit preparations and ad-hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and correct them efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to obtain professional certifications (e.g., NACPB) is encouraged but not required.
