Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Manage and organize digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
- Support the payroll process by compiling timecards and verifying data.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures under supervision.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices and payments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in numerical data.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., NACPB) upon hire.
