Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor communications
- Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audit preparations
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for daily transaction recording and financial tracking
- Support payroll processing and tax document preparation
- Implement and improve bookkeeping processes for efficiency
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required)
- Strong understanding of double-entry accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
- Basic knowledge of Indiana sales tax compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach with ability to learn new software quickly
